Gender, Cyberspace, and Art Practice (2023)

#feminist pedagogy, #archive, #collective research, #cyberfeminism(s)
ACS-04 Gender, Cyberspace, and Art Practice is a feminist pedagogy project and an intensive eight-week research program designed and facilitated by Jingtian Zong, hosted by the UCSC Science Internship Program (SIP).

In the summer of 2023, Jingtian teamed with four young creatives -Irayna Lin, Susan Chen, Lydia Pochueva, Joey Ye - as a research squad to investigate the history of cyberfeminism(s) and the entanglements between gender and technology. Through readings, discussions, art critiques, and hands-on making, members of the research squad developed their unique artistic inquiry and a digital art project.

Together, we developed MsGlitch403, an artist collective and research archive.

MsGlitch403 can be found in the Cyberfeminism Index (entry #860).
